About Our Beloved Ali

image Ali Razzaghmanesh was born in Tehran on 4 February 1963. He graduated from Islamic Open University of Tehran with a degree in Social Communication Sciences and received his postgraduate degree in Social Sciences. As part of his training at Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), he specialized in Diplomatic Law.

Ali taught various courses at the Islamic Open University from 1993 until 1997. These included General Sociology, Educational Sociology, and Consular and Diplomatic Law. During a long and successful career as a diplomat, teacher, and humanist, Ali held numerous public service positions at educational establishments as well as the Iranian MOFA. These included four years at Payam Shahid School as instructor and deputy head; two years as expert officer at the office of coordination of political and international research of Iranian MOFA; three years as specialist of consular head office; two years as director of documentation authentication section of the office of registrars; two years as deputy head of office of registrars; three years as the first consul of Iranian Embassy in Rome, Italy; one year as the head of the office of parliamentary affairs; and several years as the head consul of Iranian Consulate, Erzurum, Turkey. His final position at MOFA was at the Iranian Consulate in Munich Germany as head consul. During his illustrious career at Iranian MOFA, Ali undertook numerous diplomatic missions to Vienna, Austria; Moscow, Russia, Brasilia, Brazil to help Iranian citizens living abroad.


His Memory Lives On

image Ali was a gentle, conscientious, friendly, and straightforward man. Those who knew him loved him. Others who only met him briefly walked away with a lasting sense of his humility and humanity. Ali was always eager to help everyone who came to him. He was one a kind.

Ali died of complications under heart surgery in Munich Germany on 18 June 2011.
